The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. HBO in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. The LANTERNS pilot is co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King. The first two episodes are directed by James Hawes, with Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel and Alik Sakharov also tapped to direct. The series is executive produced by Mundy, Lindelof, James Gunn, Peter Safran, King, Ron Schmidt, and Hawes. Based on the DC comic “Green Lantern.”

S1.E1 ∙ Pilot:

After a fatal shooting, Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and new recruit John Stewart set out to prove it was an extra terrestrial event.

Episode 2 Reaction & Review:

While John’s middling errand ultimately proves eventful, Hal makes waves in Rushville – which only inspires him to dig deeper.

S1.E3 ∙ OutKast:

When his father misinterprets the Guardians’ contact, John becomes the next choice for Green Lantern. After years of preparation, he finally gets to interview with the Guardians.

S1.E4 ∙ The Weenie:

With the 48-hour deadline about to expire, John develops a new theory about the whereabouts of the Cosmic Hunter, which leads him and Hal to present their next plan to Sheriff Kane. Meanwhile, Hal’s visit to Sinestro has consequences.

S1.E5 ∙ Lights Out:

As the Macon family’s history unravels, Rushville mobilizes in the face of the escalating threat. As John is placed in an impossible position, Hal risks everything in a final attempt to take down the Manhunter.

S1.E6 ∙ Bad Optics:

John partners with brother Marcus to land a major investor for his panic room innovation, but an unexpected call pulls him back to Rushville and his past.

S1.E7 ∙ The Jordan Boys’ Legacy:

Hal and John find themselves on another planet and must put aside their past to solve a murder. Meanwhile, they are forced to confront the way their childhood shaped who they are today.
